This year’s SCION Day took place on October 21, 2025, at the ETH Zurich campus and online, with a record number of around 400 participants from Switzerland and abroad. Since its inception in 2019, SCION Day has become the central platform for exchange on the secure and trustworthy Internet of the next generation.
Exciting presentations and discussions made it clear that critical infrastructures such as energy supply, healthcare, and financial systems are increasingly dependent on secure, stable, and sovereign communication networks.
A highlight of the event was the panel discussion on “SCION: The New Trusted Internet for Critical Infrastructure,” moderated by Anapaya CEO Martin Bosshardt. Together with representatives of leading Swiss energy companies and network operators, the Secure Swiss Utility Network (SSUN) was presented as a concrete example of how SCION technology is already shaping Switzerland’s digital future.

During the discussion, our CEO, Sergio Milesi, emphasized the importance of resilience and trust in network architecture.
The event underscored how important partnerships and innovation are in making Switzerland technologically independent and future-proof.
