Change of leadership at GAS&COM AG: After 10 years of successful expansion, CEO Sergio Milesi is retiring – Alex Halbeisen will take over on July 1, 2026.
After a decade at the helm of GAS&COM, CEO Sergio Milesi is stepping down from the operational management of the company on July 1, 2026, and retiring. Under his leadership, Gas&Com developed from a niche provider into an established, innovative market player with a strong market position and a clear strategic focus.
Sergio Milesi has had a significant impact on the company. Over the past ten years, he has been responsible for the consistent expansion of the core business, the successful development of new business areas, and the sustainable positioning of Gas&Com in an increasingly dynamic market environment. Particularly noteworthy are the modernization of the infrastructure, the establishment of strategic partnerships, and the consistent focus on efficiency and customer proximity.

The Board of Directors has appointed Alex Halbeisen as the new CEO. He will take over the operational management of GAS&COM AG on July 1, 2026. Alex Halbeisen is a graduate electrical engineer with an EMBA in International Management and has more than 25 years of management experience in the telecommunications and ICT industry. Most recently, he was CEO of Eviden AG, where he managed around 300 employees and was responsible for the integration of acquired companies and the sustainable improvement of the operating margin. Prior to that, he held various management positions at Sunrise and Swisscom, among others, with comprehensive P&L responsibility, where he shaped product innovation, digitalization, and infrastructure projects. He stands for consistent implementation, strong customer focus, and a transparent, value-based management culture.

To ensure a smooth transition, Sergio Milesi will remain with the company beyond the effective date: until January 2027, he will take on special strategic tasks on behalf of the Board of Directors and advise Alex Halbeisen during the introductory phase. This will ensure continuity in corporate management as well as a seamless transfer of knowledge.
With the planned change in leadership, GAS&COM is setting the course for the future at an early stage. The company can look back on a successful decade and is now focusing on the next steps in its development in a changing market environment.
