Collection of general information when visiting our website

Type and purpose of processing:
If you access our website, that is, if you do not register or otherwise provide information about yourself, in-formation of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, for exam-ple, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider, your IP address and so on. This information does not allow us to make any inference about you personally.

It is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • to ensure trouble-free connection to the website,
  • to ensure the smooth use of our website,
  • to evaluate system security and stability
  • for further administrative purposes.

We do not use your information to make any inference about you personally. We may statistically analyse information of this kind in order to optimise our website and the underlying technology.

Legal basis:
Processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.

Recipient:
Technical service providers who work for the operation and maintenance of our website may receive the data as processors.

Storage time:
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the collection purposes. This is generally the case for the data used to provide the website when the respective session has ended.

Mandatory or required provision of data:
The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. Without the IP address, however, the service and functionality of our website is not guaranteed. Additionally, individual services may not be available or may be limited. Any legal objection is therefore excluded.

Cookies

Type and purpose of processing:
Like many other websites, we also use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. These automatically provide us with certain data, such as your IP address, your browser, operating system and your internet connection.

Cookies cannot be used to launch programs or to transfer viruses to a computer. The information contained in cookies allows us to facilitate navigation and enable our websites to be displayed correctly.

Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or a relation to personal data be established without your consent.

You may also view our website without cookies. Internet browsers are normally set up to accept cookies. You can generally deactivate the use of cookies at any time via your browser settings. Please use the help function of your internet browser to find out how to change these settings. Please note that some features of our web-site may not work if you have disabled the use of cookies.

Storage duration and used cookies:
If you allow us to use cookies via your browser settings or consent, the following cookies may be used on our websites.

Where these cookies may (also) concern personal data, we will inform you about this in the following sections.

You may use your browser settings to delete individual cookies or the entire cookie portfolio. In addition, you will receive information and instructions on how to delete these cookies or block their storage in advance. Depending on your browser, you will find the necessary information under the following links:

Contact

Our website allows you to contact us by email and/or via a contact form. In this case, the information provid-ed by the user will be stored for the purpose of processing this communication. This information is not passed on to third parties. No comparison is made between the data collected in this way and the data collected by other components of our site.

Use of Google Analytics

On the basis of our legitimate interests, this website uses the following data to optimise and analyse our web-site within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR using the Google Analytics service ,, which is provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). The service (Google Analytics) uses cookies, text files that are stored on your device. The information collected by the cookies is generally sent to a Google server in the US and stored there.

Google LLC complies with European data protection law and is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI

This website makes use of IP anonymisation. The IP address of users within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area and in the other contracting states of the agreement is shortened. Only in individual cases is the IP address transferred in full to the United States to a Google server and shortened there. This shortening removes the personal link to your IP address. The user’s IP address provided by the browser will not be combined with other data stored by Google.

As part of the agreement for the contract data agreement, which we have established as a website operator with Google Inc., the company uses the information collected to compile an evaluation of website use and website activity and provides services related to the use of the internet.

The data collected by Google on our behalf will be used to evaluate the use of our website by individual users, such as the generation of activity reports on the website to improve our website.

You have the option to refuse storage of cookies on your device by making the appropriate settings in your browser. There is no guarantee that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restrictions if your browser does not allow cookies.

Furthermore, you may use a browser plugin to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to Google Inc. and used by Google Inc. You can obtain the corresponding plug-in from the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)

Type and purpose of processing:
To make our content accurate across browsers and graphically pleasing, we use Google Web Fonts from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereafter “Google”) to display fonts.

The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Legal basis:
The legal basis for the integration of Google Webfonts and the associated data transfer to Google is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR).

Recipient:
The calling of script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether it does and, if so, for what purposes – for the operator (Google in this case) to collect data.

Storage time:
We do not collect personal information by including Google Web Fonts.

For more information about Google Web Fonts, see https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and Google’s privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Third country transfer:
Google processes your data in the US and complies with the EU_US Privacy Shield https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework

Mandatory or required provision of data:
The provision of personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, the correct representation of the contents of standard fonts cannot be guaranteed without it.

Withdrawal of consent:
The programming language JavaScript is regularly used to display content. You may therefore refuse the processing of your data by deactivating the execution of JavaScript in your browser or by installing a JavaScript blocker. Please note that this may result in functional restrictions on the website.

SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption techniques (such as SSL) over HTTPS.

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy to ensure its compliance with the current legal requirements or to apply changes to our services to the Privacy Policy, such as the introduction of new services. Future visits will be subject to the new Privacy Policy.
