SCION – Highly secure network solutions

We are now offering our customers modern, highly secure network solutions from SCION – including the specialized Swiss Secure Utility Network (SSUN). This strengthens our offering in the area of critical infrastructure and future-proof connectivity.

In response to rapidly increasing demands for network security, data sovereignty, and reliability, we are expanding our range of services: We are integrating SCION and SSUN into our service portfolio, enabling us to offer companies a forward-looking network architecture.

What is SCION?
SCION was developed at ETH Zurich in response to the requirements and challenges of modern networks. It is a groundbreaking Internet architecture that takes communication in public networks to a new level of security. SCION-based solutions combine the reach of the public Internet with the robust security associated with private network infrastructure, ensuring flexibility, efficiency, and the highest standards of compliance and reliability.

Partnership
Sergio Milesi (CEO GAS&COM) and Martin Bosshardt (CEO Anapaya) seal their collaboration and lay the foundation for a long-term partnership. Together, the two companies pursue the goal of further strengthening the network infrastructure in Switzerland and creating innovative, secure data connections for businesses.

What is SSUN?
The Swiss Secure Utility Network (SSUN) is a SCION-based network offering specifically designed for the utility sector in Switzerland. SSUN aims to protect critical utility infrastructure against cyber threats, network disruptions, and data risks.

With SSUN, data paths remain in Switzerland, which increases sovereignty and minimizes compliance risks. Furthermore, SSUN enables fast failover mechanisms, thus ensuring the continuous operation of important systems.

Sergio Milesi, CEO GAS&COM AG:

Why we are taking this step.”
“Our customers are facing increasing challenges: greater vulnerability in digital processes, increased regulatory requirements, and growing expectations in terms of availability and security. With this new offering, we can address precisely these issues and act as a reliable partner.

We are delighted to be participating in the panel discussion at SCION Day 2025.
